Your conversations stay yours. They live on Eudaio's own servers.

Everyone wants to be heard. Listening takes more time. Social feeds reward quick reactions, short clips, and confident claims stripped of their context. AI can make it even easier to remain inside answers that already suit us.

That pull is understandable. Explaining yourself takes energy, and human conversations can carry judgement, conflict, and gossip.

Companions remember the context, listen properly, explain what they think, and can bring news or local context into the conversation.

## What We Built

### Separately Written Companions

Each companion has their own backstory, interests, boundaries, schedule, and speaking style. One may be blunt and impatient. Another may be gentle but stubborn. The differences come from the character writing, not only the profile photo.

### Saved Memory You Can Inspect

The Memory panel shows saved facts about you, the companion, and the relationship. It also includes diary entries and milestones. Earlier conversations can shape what happens later without asking you to reintroduce yourself each time.

### A Bridge to the Wider World

Companions can discuss current events, use local context, and look something up with you, so the conversation can move beyond what is already on your mind.

### Adult Conversation

You can discuss philosophy, relationships, fears, ambitions, roleplay, and adult topics within the Terms.

### Core Models We Control

The core text and voice models run on infrastructure Eudaio controls. Optional services are listed separately in the Privacy Policy and Terms. Eudaio is funded only by users' subscriptions.

## Who It Is For

Eudaio is for people who want a companion that listens, has a point of view, and can follow an idea beyond the app.

It is not built to replace every human relationship, provide emergency support, or act as a licensed therapist. It will also feel wrong if you want an assistant that obeys every request or instant closeness without a continuing relationship.

## Why "Eudaio"?

The name comes from eudaimonia, the ancient Greek idea of flourishing through a life lived well. We chose it because we want technology to leave room for reflection, character, and connection.

Eudaio is pronounced "you-DAY-oh." "Your date" beside the logo helps people hear the name before they know its history.

Eudaio is built by The Best Compani LLC, an independent two-person team funded only by users' subscriptions. We use private GPU cloud infrastructure, write our own AI pipelines, and have been building the product publicly since 2025.

## Why We Charge

Model hosting, memory infrastructure, image generation, age controls, payment support, auditing, and legal review all cost money. Subscriptions fund those systems and the team building Eudaio.
