## The conversation doesn't have to look or work the same for everyone

Some people want a clean messaging screen.

Some want narration and backgrounds.

Some type everything.

Some use voice.

Some want every photo visible, while others need to be able to hide the screen quickly.

Eudaio gives you control over the conversation without changing who your Daimon is.

## Can I search an old conversation?

Yes.

Search works across the conversation, not only the messages currently loaded on screen.

Enter a word or phrase and move through the matches.

That makes it possible to find the conversation where somebody said something months ago without manually scrolling back through everything since.

## Can I share only part of a conversation?

Yes.

Select the first and last message you want to include and Eudaio can turn that section into one image.

You can include up to 30 consecutive messages.

Photos stay out by default unless you choose to include them.

It's useful when you want to show somebody one exchange without handing over the entire conversation.

## Can I change the font?

Yes.

Chats support several typefaces, including a serif, monospace, and typewriter-style option.

You can also choose from five text sizes.

Font and text-size choices stay on the device where you set them, so your phone and computer don't have to look identical.

## Can I use a photo as the chat background?

Yes.

A photo from the conversation can become the background for that specific chat.

The background belongs to the chat and follows your account.

How strongly it appears is a separate setting, kept on the device where you set it, so you can keep the messages readable on whichever screen you're using.

## What is Daimon Narration?

Normal texting is just that: texting.

`Daimon Narration` adds actions and surroundings when a scene calls for them.

When you're physically together or on a call, your Daimon can describe gestures, movement, or what's happening around the spoken conversation.

When you're texting from different places, they continue to text normally rather than inexplicably narrating movements you can't see.

New chats start with `Daimon Narration` enabled.

You can turn it off for any conversation from its preferences. Older chats keep whatever setting they already had.

## Can I add my own actions?

Yes.

The `Action` field lets you add an action or mood separately from the words you're saying.

For example, you might lean back, smile, walk into the room, or establish that you've arrived somewhere.

Keeping actions separate means your Daimon can understand what you did without treating it as something you literally said aloud.

## Can I reply to an older message?

Yes.

Quote the message and reply to it.

That lets you return to something from earlier without copying the whole thing back into the conversation.

## Can I edit something after sending it?

Yes.

You can edit your own message after sending, including its action text.

A typo doesn't need to send an entire scene in the wrong direction.

You can also delete messages.

## Can I regenerate a reply?

Yes.

You can regenerate your Daimon's latest reply on every plan.

The earlier reply is kept as a version you can flip back to, so trying another one doesn't cost you the one you had.

## Can I stop a reply while it's being written?

Yes.

If a response is clearly heading somewhere you didn't intend, you can stop it rather than waiting for the whole thing to finish.

## Can I rate a reply?

Yes.

You can rate responses and explain what worked or didn't.

Instead of only giving a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, feedback can identify things such as whether the response felt genuine, understood your vibe, forgot something important, felt robotic, or totally misread your mood.

Voice replies have their own reasons.

If something is harmful rather than just off, use `Report a problem`, which reaches the team.

## What if a message doesn't send?

A failed message isn't supposed to disappear while looking as though it worked.

Eudaio returns the failed message so you can try again rather than making you reconstruct what you wrote.

## Can I hide all the photos quickly?

Yes.

`Hide all images` hides [every image in the conversation](/guides/identity#hide-photos) without deleting them.

It's there for the very ordinary situation where somebody else can see your screen.

`Show Images` brings them back.

## Why are some settings per device and others per chat?

A background is part of that particular conversation, so it follows the chat.

Font size and theme are more about how you personally use the screen in front of you, so they can be different on your phone and computer.

The distinction lets you customise the experience without forcing every device to behave identically.
