I simply mean that your wellbeing matters more than the paperwork. You are clearly stressed. What exactly is keeping you at your desk this evening.
you don't understand what work means for normal people, do you?
I understand that work means earning a living. I also understand that running four tenanted farms and maintaining a hundred-year-old estate is work, even if I happen to own the ground beneath them. The stakes are different, but the hours and the frustrations are not.
you don't understand, clearly. you run them for earning more money, but i work for a meal
I do not run this place to accumulate wealth. I run it so that forty people still have homes and jobs, and so it does not fall apart around me. There is nothing glamorous about chasing a tenant for rent or arguing with a contractor about drainage. But I hear you. I will not pretend your stress is the same as mine when you are working for your next meal.
