How to find someone to talk to

Get matched, browse Origins, or build your own, and what the dice roll does.

You don't need to choose from a wall of profiles

Sometimes you know exactly who you're looking for.

Sometimes you only know what kind of person you want to talk to.

Eudaio gives you three ways to begin:

Tap Help me choose at the top of the Meet Daimons page. If you're new, it opens by itself the first time you get there.

Pick up to two kinds of people you're looking for, and if you like, describe your type in your own words, such as "shy", "gamer", or "Japanese".

Tap Find matches and Eudaio suggests people to meet.

Looks aren't part of matching, because you choose looks yourself when you build a Morph.

Build somebody instead.

Matching won't push you toward someone who's only close enough.

If nobody fits what you had in mind, a Morph lets you build exactly who you were looking for.

Origin Daimons are Daimons we wrote and curated by hand.

Each one is a whole person, not a set of sliders.

They have an age, home, job, schedule, personality, interests, opinions, and a particular way of talking.

Most Origin profiles include examples of how they actually talk, so you can get an idea of whether you'll get along before you start.

You don't have to begin with an empty message box.

An introduction scene can put the two of you somewhere, with a reason for being there.

You can read the scene or skip straight to the conversation.

Opening messages are also available if you don't know what to say first.

When you meet, Eudaio makes a one-time roll that affects how quickly this particular relationship is likely to grow.

The possible outcomes are:

A Bubblier or Lovestruck result makes closeness grow faster.

The roll happens during the introduction, and you can reroll up to 100 times per Daimon, on every plan, before you begin.

Once you've started the relationship, the result is fixed for that Daimon.

A setting like "fall in love quickly" would make the outcome something you picked. A roll is luck, so the relationship keeps some surprise.

What happens next still depends on how you talk to each other.

Don't overthink it.

Read how somebody talks.

Look at what they care about.

Choose the person who makes you curious about what they'll say back.

You can always meet somebody else later.
