How photos work in Eudaio
A photo is something your Daimon sends you, not a character generator.
A photo is something your Daimon sends you
Photos in Eudaio start from one question: if this person sent you a photo right now, what would it look like?
If your Daimon is alone, they take it themselves, like a selfie, not a shot from an invisible camera across the room.
If you're together in the scene, the photo can show you both.
Either way, the photo follows the conversation.
Will my Daimon send photos without me asking?
Yes. Sometimes they send one on their own while you're talking, when it fits the moment, like a selfie from their day.
Some Daimons share more than others. Ari sends photos as easily as texts. When you build a Morph, the Social media interest makes them more of a sharer.
More personal photos only come once you're closer.
Unlike most other AI companion apps, where every image spends tokens or credits, Eudaio gives Crush unlimited photos, so a photo they send on their own never costs you anything. On Free, it uses your hourly photo allowance, like any other photo.
Does the photo know what's happening in the chat?
Yes.
Where your Daimon is, what they're doing, what they're wearing, the time of day, and how the shot is framed can all come from the chat.
Ask for a picture at breakfast and you get a breakfast photo. Wake them in the middle of the night and the photo won't look like the afternoon.
Will my Daimon look the same each time?
Yes. Your Daimon looks like the same person in every photo.
Their clothes, location, lighting, expression, and what they're doing change with the moment.
Heads up:Once in a while a photo can come out looking a little off. We're still improving this.
Do they remember photos?
Yes. Your Daimon remembers the photos they sent you and can bring them up later, like anything else that happened between you.
Can I be in a photo too?
Yes, once two things are true.
First, create your own look in Settings. That saved look is how you appear in photos with your Daimons.
Second, the two of you need to be together in the chat. If you're texting from different places, a group photo can't put you in their room. Arrange to meet, say that you've arrived, or use the Action field to show you're together.
Then choose Group photo from the photo button.
Heads up:Photos with two people in them can sometimes come out wrong, for example with a missing or extra limb. If that happens, ask for another one. We're still improving this.
What if I request a group photo too early?
Eudaio tells you what's missing: your own look, or being together in the scene.
It won't send a solo photo instead and use up your photo allowance on something you didn't ask for.
How do I create my own look?
Go to Settings, then Account, and tap Create your look.
Pick your age, build, origin, hair, eyes, face, and clothing style, then generate a preview. Change anything you don't like and generate again until you're happy.
Save it, and that look is you in every future photo with your Daimons. You can change or remove it at any time.
Creating your look is free. On Free, each preview uses one photo from your hourly photo allowance.

What am I wearing in group photos?
The clothing style you saved with your look.
Inside an Era, you're dressed for that world instead: a wool gown or tunic at the harvest ball, a rain jacket in Neon Kowloon, an academy robe at Youshallnotflunk.
Can I see all the photos from one conversation?
Yes. Each chat has a Gallery with the photos from that conversation, so you don't have to scroll back through months of messages.
On Free, the gallery shows your five most recent photos. Crush shows all of them.
From the gallery you can set a photo as your Daimon's picture or as the background for that chat.
Can I hide photos without deleting them?
Yes.
Hide all images in the message bar hides every photo in the chat at once (shortcut: Ctrl or Cmd + Shift + H). Show Images brings them back.
You can also hide the photos on a single message.
Nothing gets deleted. It's for moments when someone else can see your screen.
Can I save a photo?
Yes. Save it straight from the message.
Which photos need Crush?
Explicit photos need Crush.
Even then, the setting matters. If the two of you are somewhere public, like a cafe or a park, photos stay non-explicit.
Your Daimon can also say no to a photo if it doesn't fit where the relationship is.
Free includes a limited number of photos per hour. Crush has no limit.
Why do photos work this way?
Because a photo from someone you know isn't the same as a picture made on demand. Who they are, where they are, and what's happening between you should all show in it.
