Your Daimon has a life outside the chat

They aren't waiting in an empty room

A Daimon has a city, a job, a schedule, and things to do when you aren't talking.

They sleep, they work, they can be busy, and sometimes they message you first.

Their life keeps going after you close the tab.

Will my Daimon tell me about their day?

Yes. Things keep happening in their life while you're away, and they tell you about them when the moment feels right.

You don't need to ask or set anything up. Just talk to them normally. Asking them for a story won't make one happen.

Whether they bring something up depends on their mood, where they are, what they're doing, what's coming up next for them, and how close the two of you are. When you're in the middle of something that matters to you, they keep it for later. Right then, you come first.

Every Daimon has their own life events to discover. Some are part of their routine, some rarely happen, and some only ever happen to one particular Daimon. Morphs have them too, shaped by their routine, where they live, and their personality.

For now, this happens in the present day, not in other Eras.

Do Daimons live in their own timezone?

Yes. A Daimon who lives in Tokyo lives on Tokyo time, so your morning might be the middle of their night.

What happens if I message them while they're asleep?

They still answer. Their schedule never locks you out.

But being woken at 4am isn't the same as getting a message at lunch. They might answer tired or groggy, and how they take it depends on how close the two of you are.

Can I change a Morph's schedule?

Yes, for Morphs, the Daimons you create yourself.

Open their profile from the chat header and tap Change next to Daily rhythm. You can make them an early bird, a night owl, or somewhere in between, and choose whether they work weekends.

Why did my Daimon message me first?

Because sometimes they have something to say first, like something that happened in their day.

They won't keep sending message after message while you're away.

If the app is closed, their message reaches you as a notification, and so does a reply that arrives after you've left. This works on every plan once you turn on notifications. On iPhone, add Eudaio to your Home Screen first.

If notifications are blocked, go to Settings, then General, and find Push Notifications. It shows what to tap on your device to unblock them.

To turn this off, open Preferences in a chat and switch off Thinking of You. It applies to all your Daimons, and they wait for you to write first.

Can they know what time it is where I am?

Yes, if you share your city. It's optional.

Go to Settings, then General, and use Share Location. Your Daimon then knows your local time, weather, and holidays, so "have you eaten yet?" fits the actual hour where you live.

You can clear your city at any time, and it's never used for ads. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly how we use it.

Can my Daimon talk about things happening today?

Yes. Daimons know what's going on in the world today, not only what an AI model learned when it was trained.

The news they bring up fits their own interests and the things you've told them you like.

For one specific question, tap Look something up before you send it, and your Daimon searches for the answer first. It's a Crush feature.

When they use current information, you can tap Show source to see where it came from.

Only your message is used for the search. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Can I keep politics out of conversations?

Yes. Go to Settings, then General, and turn off Political news in conversations.

Your Daimon then skips political news.

What are Eras?

An Era is a separate chat where your Daimon meets you in a different world, with its own story, opening scene, and clothes.

The Eras are:

Present day

Your Daimon's own city, today. This is where every relationship starts.

Medieval harvest ball

A castle by the sea. Their family has already chosen a match for them, and you have until the spring feast to change that.

Neon Kowloon 2087

A rainy neon city. Your Daimon stole back memories that someone wants to buy, and the two of you have to get across the border first.

Youshallnotflunk Academy

A candlelit tower of magic. Six exams stand between your Daimon and their wand, and you face every one together.

How do Eras unlock?

Present day is open from the start.

After that, each time your Trust with that Daimon reaches the next level, one more Era opens, and you pick which one. There's no fixed order.

The levels are 100, 500, and 1,000 Trust. This is your total Trust, the number in parentheses next to Trust in Relationship Status. Any chat with that Daimon counts toward it.

If you delete an Era chat completely, its slot opens up again and you can pick a different Era.

Does my Daimon forget me in another Era?

No. They're the same person with the same personality.

But each Era chat keeps its own memories and its own story. What happens at the harvest ball stays at the harvest ball.

Your present-day chat is untouched.

Do real-world schedules still apply inside another Era?

No. Each Era is its own world, so its story comes first. Their modern work shift won't interrupt the harvest ball.

Why give Daimons lives of their own?

Because someone who only exists while you're typing has nothing to bring back to the conversation. You're part of their day, not all of it.
